I am very impressed with my daughters bike. She turned 2 on March 3, she did not even have her bike for 24 hrs and was riding it down small hills and balancing like a pro. All the other moms were very impressed. She loves it and even has to park it in her bedroom at night when she goes to bed. Cindy Posted by Ryan McFarland |
When we first purchased the Strider Bike for my son (17 months old) my husband and I were a nervous wreck. We are now very grateful for the Strider. Our son has grown the last 11 months into this bike. Last summer I even emailed and asked for training wheels or something for the bike…..my son was having a hard time with it. I’m glad that I got a response saying to let the child explore the bike on his own. You told me to lay it on its side and when he’s ready, he will pick it up or want to ride it. To make a long story short, my son is now 28 months old and truly has grown into his bike. It doesn’t matter if the bike is indoors or out, he has to ride it. This bike has taught him about balance and band aids! Again, I can’t thank you guys enough for creating these bikes. I recommend them to all parents. I highly recommend them for all children 1+. I just wanted to send a note to say that your bikes are terrific. We bought them as birthday gifts for our two boys (4 and 2) a few weeks ago, and they absolutely love riding them. My four-year-old is practically ready for a pedal bike at this point, and my two-year old is just starting to get the hang of riding the balance bike on his own. I imagine he’ll be gliding down the local hills (like his older brother) in no time at all. I researched several balance bike options (as well as bikes with training wheels) and I am glad I found the Strider bikes. We were fortunately able to find them after calling a nearby toy store, since I wanted to see them first. I don’t know why other balance bikes don’t have foot rests. Your product is wonderfully designed and very light (light enough for each of the kids to carry them up steps). I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Posted by Ryan McFarland |
Just wanted to share my Strider success story. I have 2 year old twins (Aidan and Jocelyn) and last Spring I saw the Strider videos and knew I had to have them for my kids. I am an avid cyclist and was anxious to get them on two wheels as soon as they were ready. I bought the bikes right away and was excited for the kids to try them out. At first they were not sure what to think and really found it challenging to ride them. Granted they were just over 2 years old. I decided they would ride them when they wanted and left it at that. Meanwhile they continued to ride their trikes for a few months until I showed them the Strider videos on your website. That very day, my son said, “I want to ride my strider bike likes the kids on the video,” so off we went. Within a couple days he was starting to get the hang of it. Now just barely 1-2 weeks later, he is flying!! He absolutely loves it. I am surprised how he can manuever it through tall grass, gravel, pavement, and dirt. Apparently the geometry and weight is just right. He also likes popping wheelies. I realized tonight though that I need the brakes because we went for a ride down a little hill and he was cruising and had to stop with his feet. It worked find but would have been easier with the optional brake. Now, my daughter (who loves her trike) is asking to ride her pink Strider. Life is good! Thanks. Posted by Ryan McFarland |
I wanted to let you know how excited we are not only about owning such a fantastic bike, but also introducing others to the experience....spreading the love, if you will : ) My 26 month old son, Mason, has had his Strider for 2 weeks and 5 days....and he can't get enough of it. All he wants to do is ride, ride, ride! He is having so much fun. Posted by Jane Mazeika |
I wanted to send you a picture of my 3 year old going off a jump on his strider- he loves it!! Cynthia |

I loved the videos and I just ordered Lily a pink one...how funny is that .What a GREAT find. I never even heard of a strider bike and seeing as my other daughter, Zoe, was on training wheels until she was 5, I'm all for skipping that stage! Watch out Angelina and Brad! I think Mason and Lily are the next hot couple on those bikes! :) Kyle Posted by Jane Mazeika |
First of all your bike ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!!! My three year old daughter loves her bike. Everyday she is asking to go outside to ride her bike. It took about a dozen tries before she was able to coast a few feet. Now after a few dozen more tries she is able to coast approximately 75 feet down a slight slope, and approximately 10-15 feet on flat land! If she keeps improving at this rate she’ll be ready for a real bike by Christmas! Every parent that sees it wants to know what it is. I enthusiastically recommend your bike to them. I also have a lot of co-workers who have small kids and I show them the website. After all I am a proud parent and want to share the experience with my friends. It is without a doubt the best gift I have ever given my daughter. Thank you for making such a great product. Gene Posted by Ryan McFarland |
HI all, I just wanted to thank you for these bikes!!! My almost three year old son has super short legs and we hadn’t been able to find him any trike or bike that he could peddle….until now! I was really hesitant about your bike, but I have to say that after about two months both kids are having so much fun on their Striders and have gained so much confidence in themselves. It has been amazing to watch. Everywhere we go people ask…”Where did you get that bike?” Thanks for a great product! We love everything about these bikes (especially the no pump tires!) Cheryl |

If Joe Cool was in preschool today, this would be his ride. Ambrose loves taking his Strider bike to school while fully decked out with his helmet, shades and “racing gloves”. He’s only been on the bike a few weeks and he already tries to see how far he can go without putting his feet down. Next stop: Mountain biking! Mark from Colorado Posted by Ryan McFarland |
The following is a excerpt from a blog called The Prairie Peddler… Was that the sun? Wow. Its not even full blown spring yet…and I’m getting busier by the day. I’m certainly NOT complaining though! Bring it on! The more of you on bikes the better! And lets start ‘em young! I’ve always though bikes were great, and really enjoyed seeing kids out laughing and riding down the sidewalks. Pure and simple joy right there folks. I think I’ve found nirvana for the kids(and my sense of joy too). These little Strider bikes blow me away. I don’t want this to sound like an ad. I really am just blown away by this little thing. Sidra was having trouble balancing on here pedal bike last fall. I kept tinkering with the training wheels to find that ’sweet’ spot for her, but she just kept leaning on the wheels. Two days on her Strider had her cured of the balance issue. Two weeks in and I have a hard time keeping up with her on a walk! This is absolutely fantastic! Seeing her rip around the store, giggling like the little school girl she is, is awesome. With Sidra on her bike, moms and dads see how easy it is for her and how much fun she’s having – it seems that they can’t help but not buy one. I LOVE it! Posted by Ryan McFarland |
Ready Set Go!!! As you can see from the photo our neighborhood in Portland is serious Strider country. Right to left is Charlie (2 yr. 9 mo.), Emmet (2 yr. 2 mo.) and Jackson (2 yr. 3 mo.) These boys can really go, not only zip along on the sidewalk, and riding on the grass but messing around on curbs and other obstacles. These are things not easily done on a traditional bike with training wheels. The Strider is a great design and value, I highly recommend this bike. |
